Received from our good friend, Barb Payne

March in the thousands with 350.org, David Suzuki, Naomi Klein, Maude Barlow…

TORONTO SUNDAY, JULY 5th afternoon. We’ll be in group #2 (blue colour marshalling quadrant, which looks to be in front of Queen’s Park as the northeast quadrant starting point). This quadrant is named “Good Work, Clean Jobs, Healthy Communities.” Please join in with us even if it’s only for a short time… we’ll be in black t-shirts that say on the front “why do I prefer non-wireless? wireless is radiation @PracticeSafeTek. If you’re comfortable in an all-black shirt, that would help others realize we’re all together. And anyone who wants to can help carry the “electroSMOG awareness” banner (see photo attached, so you know what you’re looking for). We’ll also carry various ultra-light-weight signs we can share (not heavy placards on poles). The website we’ll show is eSMOGfaq.org (which is new, and after this weekend I’ll have a habit of often changing where it lands… you’ll see what I mean when you try it).
“A number of high-profile Canadians and others will march, including: David Suzuki, Naomi Klein, Bill McKibben, Stephen Lewis, and Maude Barlow. Celebrities attending will be announced soon.” Also, I see that David Suzuki Foundation today e-mail blasted to draw attention to the event and encouraging participation.
Hope to see everyone there. More at http://jobsjusticeclimate.ca/.
More event schedule details are pasted below (or at http://jobsjusticeclimate.ca/media/ ).
Let’s do this!!
Best,
Barb
p.s. Anyone who wants to wear The 100% cotton T-Shirt, please contact me in private email. (Also, you may want to pick up the shirt from me ahead of time to wash it, it’s kinda strong chemical smell from the printing process.)
